Following an exciting opening of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship season just two days ago, the Red Bull KTM Tech3 duo of Miguel Oliveira and Iker Lecuona is pumped to get back to the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto this weekend for the Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucía.
In the incredible heat, Oliveira managed to equal his best ever premier class result with an impressive eight position last Sunday and aims to even improve his pace in a few days. Yet, Lecuona, who didn’t see the chequered flag last time out, but displayed 20 strong laps, eagerly awaits the start of the weekend with FP1 on Friday at 9.55 local time in order to bring home his first MotoGP points.

"I’m very pleased on how the last weekend went, especially the race. It was a good come back to racing for all of us. Finally, we have this second weekend back to back, which is nice, because there are actually a few things I would like to improve on the bike, but also on myself. One of them is the Qualifying and being able just to go faster. I believe that from what we saw in the race, our bike was very capable to fight for a podium in those circumstances. So, now we need to see which challenges the second weekend will bring us, overcome them and hopefully we can also improve our position from the last race a little bit."

"For this weekend, I try to continue to improve with the bike and with the team. We managed to raise a lot during the first Grand Prix. Our pace is very strong and consistent. Now I need to finish the race, which is the main objective for the Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucía. Apart from that, I also aim to improve further, maybe we can manage to reduce the gap to the front. I’m ready to try and give my best."

"It’s a bit of a strange feeling to just finish our race in Jerez and already talking about the next one, which will happen in just a few days on the same circuit. It’s the very first time, that this is happening to the MotoGP community. This is something new and exciting. We could see that there were many things happening during the opening round and for sure a lot of riders and teams were disappointed with their results and I’m quite sure they are eager to take their revenge and to work in a different way, find different settings. So, all together this is going to be a similar race, but at the same time also a non-identical race. Unfortunately, there are a few riders that might not be on the starting grid due to injury, but I still believe the fight is going to be great. For us, the first round of the MotoGP World Championship was very interesting and strong. Hopefully we can repeat and do even better, if we can with Miguel. Iker was fast. He has done only two races in MotoGP, but never saw the chequered flag, so we hope he can show the same speed or even better speed during the practices and finish the race on Sunday. I think at the moment, we are in a very important situation of the KTM MotoGP adventure and it would be very good to carry on improving, pushing and giving the right data to the engineers. We know the weather conditions are going to be similar, we are ready and we just can’t wait to restart on Friday morning with FP1!"
