After just a few days of rest for Red Bull KTM Tech3, the ambitious crew will be back in action this weekend. Following a disappointing end to what could have been another amazing race by Miguel Oliveira last Sunday, the Portuguese star can’t wait to be back at the Red Bull Ring this week for the Grand Prix of Styria, trying to transform his great form in practice sessions and race into the well-deserved outcome.
Boosted by his first race finish inside the top nine of the super competitive premier class, Iker Lecuona likewise impatiently anticipates the upcoming fifth race weekend of the shortened 2020 season. The MotoGP rookie aims to repeat his strong performance on Red Bull’s and KTM’s home soil, as soon as track activity kicks off with Free Practice one this Friday at 9.55 local time.

"This weekend here in Austria I just want to continue the way we started here during the first weekend, because we were growing and learning a lot, plus we finished the race, which is probably the most important thing. I just want to continue to improve together with the team, because for the moment, I’m really happy. We will see what happens next week."

"It’s good to have a second race back to back here in Red Bull Ring circuit. We saw that we were very competitive in race one with both, Miguel and Iker. Unfortunately, Miguel couldn’t finish the race and it’s always a bitter feeling when you can’t see the flag, when you have the potential and the race we were having till we were out. Hopefully things will turn in a more positive way for us this coming weekend. Our KTM RC16 is working really well here. The Michelin tyre combination we were choosing is also giving us great confidence in terms of fast laps and race distance, so apart from the weather, I don’t see what could stop us to get a much better overall result for the team in race two than in race one."
