Following a wet Friday and Saturday last week at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Miguel Oliveira used both Free Practice sessions today to gather data aboard his KTM RC16, as throughout last weekend he competed for the first time at this track in the MotoGP class. He concluded FP1 this morning in eighth, but went a bit down the order in Free Practice two, although he missed out on the top 10 of the ultra-competitive premier class field by only 0.362 seconds at the end of the day.
His teammate Iker Lecuona is supposed to be back in action from FP3 tomorrow at 10.55 local time, being allowed by the Andorran authorities to travel to Valencia on Saturday morning, after his PCR test came back negative on Wednesday.

"Overall, it was a good day. Although it was a bit tough at the end. We couldn’t put everything together for the final time attack. We are still not clear about a couple of things on the bike, but I’m happy with my pace with used tyres. I think I’m strong, but for sure tomorrow morning we need to do a better job to go straight to Q2."
