Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Miguel Oliveira will start the penultimate race of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship season tomorrow at 14:00 local time from P10 on the grid. The Portuguese delivered a strong FP3 this morning by grabbing ninth in order to make it straight to Q2. A few drops of rain around the Circuit Ricardo Tormo hampered the proceedings in Qualifying. Nevertheless, Oliveira did his fastest lap around the Spanish track with a 1:30.781 to miss out on the front row by just 0.368 seconds.
In the meantime, Iker Lecuona was tested positive on Covid-19 this morning, which means he will have to sit out his home round this weekend.

"Overall it was a good day. We managed to go to Q2 from this morning. The afternoon was very tricky to understand how much we could push. Finally, I felt good with the bike. Just on the last run, I couldn’t improve enough to at least make it to the front two rows, so I’m sad for that. I made a mistake in turn two of the last lap, so I’m sorry for that to the team. Anyway, I think we have a strong pace for the race, we were working decently, therefore we just need a good start and need to avoid any contacts in the first few corners."
